When I think of design I think about how the designer creates an emotional connection for the consumer to a product. Most people buy products they need, and when they are outdated they throw them away, but people always keep products they love. Products are lifeless, we as designers must give them life.

For me that’s why I want to design toys. Very few objects I’ve owned in my life hold as many memories or as much significance to me as my childhood toys. Everybody had a favorite toy as a kid, I’m sure you’re thinking of yours right now. As adults you can have products you like, but toys had a personality, they were alive. I hope that one day I can help a new generation create stories and adventures that will stick with them for a lifetime.
